For those who don’t remember or weren’t around at the time: early last year my computer had an unexpected BSoD that corrupted most of the files I used to create Go to School with, and unfortunately I didn’t have backups (let this be a lesson to backup your files as soon as it crosses your mind). The first is related to the BSoD (blue screen of death) problem I had last year. You’re probably wondering why it took this long to release an update, and it’s actually a mixture of two reasons. To update, just replace the old version with the new one. I’ve updated Go to School to fix some bugs that were introduced in the November (Cats and Dogs) patch: This also fixed the issue where Sims couldn’t travel away using the “Travel” interaction on the phone.

13th November 2020 - Fixed an issue where Sims renting lots in Granite Falls or Selvadorada would lose those lots upon traveling to another world.

I don’t know exactly why it effected some people but not others, maybe it’s a cache thing.

11th December 2020 - Fixed a patch-related issue where the main menu would appear blank for some players.

26th January 2021 - Fixed an issue where Paranormal Stuff would not display properly on the main menu UI.

27th January 2021 - Fixed a bug where Paranormal Stuff wasn’t available in the CAS or Build Mode filters.

14th May 2021 - Updated for patch 1.74 (the art for Courtyard Oasis will now show on the main menu as intended).

1st June 2021 - Dream House Decorator will now show on the main menu as intended.

21st July 2021 - Updated for the latest patch.

26th August 2021 - Added an experimental fix for a common issue where Build Mode becomes disabled on lots in previously Destination Worlds.

10th September 2021 - Fixed an issue where objects from Industrial Loft Kit wouldn’t be tagged in Build Mode.

22nd September 2021 - Updated for the latest patch.

This is likely due to how the UI is coded.

You can’t access the world select screen while in Batuu, but don’t panic! You can return home by clicking the “Go Home” icon in the Sim viewer.

This is unlikely to happen as there are very few other reasons to modify that file.

This will conflict with any mod that modifies the UI tuning SimData file (545AC67A-006CA304-4AD169DBEC547AEA). This shouldn’t be a problem, because if you don’t want to visit certain worlds without renting lots, you can just keep yourself from doing so. Patch 1.68 changed the way the world select screen works, so it’s no longer possible to change just certain worlds with multiple mods.

This page used to be a list of individual mods that would let you change the world type of each world from Destination to Residential or from Residential to Destination.

Also, there is a bug with traveling away from Batuu (see Known Issues). **It’s not possible to move to or change lot types in Batuu as doing so breaks the world’s UI, so this mod will only let you travel to and from Batuu. You’ll still be able to freely travel to those worlds without Venue Changes, just not live in them. *In order to move a household into Granite Falls or Selvadorada, you’ll also need my Venue Changes mod which unlocks the “Residential” lot type in all worlds. This mod turns the Destination Worlds - Granite Falls, Selvadorada and Batuu** into Residential Worlds that your Sims can freely travel to and live in*.
